Service

LocalCutVideo is a free video editing application that runs entirely in your web browser. It is provided free of charge, without an account, and may evolve, be interrupted or stop at any time without notice.

Your content

You remain the sole owner of, and solely responsible for, the videos, sounds and music you edit and publish. You must hold the necessary rights (copyright, music licenses, image rights of the people filmed).

The application must not be used for unlawful purposes.

Automatic features

Transcription, subtitles, silence detection and auto-framing are produced automatically and may contain errors. Check the result before publishing it.

Your files and projects

The application never modifies your original files. Projects are stored in your browser and may be lost if its data is cleared or if the browser frees up space: always keep your original files.

Warranty and liability

The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, under the MIT license. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from the use of, or the inability to use, the application (data loss, export errors, unavailability…).

The source code is available under the MIT license on GitHub .

LocalCutVideo relies on: Mediabunny (MPL-2.0), Transformers.js and ONNX Runtime (Apache-2.0 and MIT), the Whisper models by OpenAI (MIT), MediaPipe (Apache-2.0), Wavesurfer.js (BSD-3-Clause), Dexie.js (Apache-2.0), Angular (MIT) and the Inter and Montserrat fonts (SIL Open Font License).
